Alliotts' supports Games London's 'Game Finance Market' event
Last week I was joined by Romesh Albert and Patrick Smith of Alliotts’ specialist games team at Game London’s Game Finance Market; over two days we held productive meetings with entrepreneurs and major stakeholders in in the consumer games industry, a sector which reached a market valuation of £7.82bn in the UK in 2023.
Games London’s Game Finance Market, is a dynamic two-day event within the gaming industry. The event, supported by Alliotts LLP alongside Coutts and Corpay, brought together a diverse range of key players in the sector including founders, investors, and advisors, and gave 90+ games studios access to 40+ investors, funders and publishers. This year the event was further expanded to include international delegations as the result of a partnership with the European Games Developer Federation.
While we were there we talked with visionary founders at the forefront of crafting innovative and captivating video games. Our conversations gave us invaluable insights into emerging trends and promising investment prospects within the gaming sector.
We also met with investors actively seeking to support promising ventures in gaming. We discussed exploring business models to assessing market dynamics and growth opportunities. In addition to engaging with founders and investors, we fostered relationships with fellow advisors, sharing insights and ideas on industry best practices and strategies for navigating the ever-changing gaming landscape.
Our participation in the Game Finance Market was pivotal in establishing new connections, acquiring industry insights, and identifying potential partnerships that will enhance our success in the gaming sector.
The Game Finance Market is one of a series of events for the industry being held during London Games Festival running from 9-25 April 2024.
