Our Culture

Our firm is very much like a family – an eclectic, diverse set of individuals working alongside each other. We enjoy each others company and are protective of every single person’s welfare.

Many years ago the Alliotts Staff Action Team (SAT) was set up. This is a group of people from a cross-section of the firm who are the ‘glue’ within the organisation. They’re dedicated to ensuring that we create space to socialise as well as work hard. They also drive fundraising for our chosen charity, Prevent Breast Cancer; and work with the ESG team to progress our ESG agenda.

The firm traditionally hosts Summer and Christmas events, but these are supplemented with a wide variety of ad hoc, inclusive events that range from drinks and Pentanque, to Masterchef style cook offs, escape rooms, pingpong, cocktail making and possibly some of the most challenging quizzes ever constructed. Each Chinese New Year we celebrate by enjoying a meal out together in London’s Chinatown.

A professional masseur visits each office on a monthly basis to provide massages, which are very popular amongst staff.

A running club has been set up by our Guildford office (made up of runners from both offices), with members about to sign up for their first half marathon. There’s always something going on, and this summer has been no different, with lots of summer fun at Alliotts.

Teams from Alliotts LLP have taken part in the London Marathon, the Three Peaks Challenge, Tough Mudder and the London Triathlon. A number of staff members are brushing up on their badminton skills for an upcoming match which promises to be a good day. It’s not all sports though, the Guildford office currently organises a monthly Boardgame night where they rent boardgames from a local boardgame cafe (and yes, pizza is involved).

Towards the end of the year we enjoyed seasonal trips to the Pantomine, a (not) very tasteful Christmas jumper day, skating at Somerset House and meals out together and 2023 culminated in a Christmas party on the Southbank.

The new year kicked off with a programme of get togethers which included a very popular evening of chocolate making, and Summer highlights included bowling in Guildford and a lively evening at Fairgame in London which certainly brought out the competitive spirit in some of our team.
