Brexit. Guidance for businesses trading with the EU

HMRC have a range of webinars available for businesses trading with the EU.

12 Jan 2021

Since 1 January 2021, new rules have come into effect for businesses (or representatives of businesses) who trade with the EU.

The Free Trade Agreement was the first to be reached by the EU based on zero tariffs and zero quotas.  What it does mean is that there are now new customs processes in place on goods that move between Great Britain and the EU.

It is essential for businesses (and their representatives) to ensure they know about these new customs processes and what is required before trading with the EU.

The trader checklist which is available on the website helps businesses identify which new rules affect them and provides details of the rules.

HMRC’s you tube channel is also a useful reference for businesses, providing step by step guidance on the new processes.

There are also a series of informative webinars hosted by HMRC that you can register for.
