As one of our Media Team in Cannes, I was delighted to support the Power of Women Summit sponsored by Alliotts. The summit facilitates the important and necessary conversations that bring women together to discuss prevalent gender inequality in the industry, alongside solutions to support females in their media careers. All attendees have a common goal to make the industry a more inclusive and equal environment.
As a table head, I enjoyed discussions with other seasoned industry females covering a variety of topics, with each participant sharing invaluable insights, thoughts, and life experiences as a woman in the industry.
Run by entertainment attorney and financial consultant Vinca Jarrett, the summit also included insightful talks with actress/writer/director Nicki Micheaux. It was inspirational to hear about her experiences as an empowered influential creative in the film industry, striving to create a safe and inclusive working environment on set. Representatives from some of the USA’s largest banks, Charlene Paling (Western Alliance), Randi Greenberg (Banc of California) and Melanie Krinksy (Western Alliance) also spoke of their experiences of career progression in a typically male dominated industry, and how they support and encourage women to pursue their careers in such industries.
Alliotts is proud to be supporting women across the media industry, and to take part in the Power of Women Summit a great discussion opportunity, and a platform to help drive change.
