24 Miles. 12 Hours. 3 Peaks. Alliotts' walkers battle torrential rain to raise money for charity.
On Saturday 5 July a team of twelve ambitious walkers from Alliotts (past and present) laced up their boots and took on The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, hiking Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough.
Despite battling torrential rain the team completed the walk of approximately 24 miles (39 km) with a total ascent of 5,200 feet (1,585 m) in well under 12 hours and raised over £2.5k for our firm’s charity Prevent Breast Cancer.
While they were drying out the team enjoyed playing board games, and took turns cooking meals for the group.
‘It was a great to share this experience with current and former colleagues and bond over the weekend, despite being totally soaked most of the time. And we didn’t lose anyone, which was an added bonus.’ said Harvey White.
