Alliotts' Media team will be taking a break over Christmas and will be enjoying their favourite films.
We have made it through another year and now it’s time to relax, be merry, visit friends and family, eat too much and then take time to relax and watch a film or two.
Christmas would not be Christmas without revisiting your favourite films and discovering new treasures.
So, here’s what the Alliotts Media Team like and recommend:
The Muppets Christmas Carol.
Starring the great Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge this is a beautiful, memorable adaptation of a well-known Dickens classic with some great songs. Ben Scott has selected this film and feels there is no reason to look beyond it if you want to watch a great Christmas movie.
Miracle On 34th Street.
The original made in 1947 scores 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and won numerous Academy and Golden Globe awards. It was remade in 1994 and starred Richard Attenborough. This is a favourite of the ever bubbly and positive Lizzie Bennett.
Love Actually
A firm favourite of our Film Tax Credit expert, Sam Ampah. My personal highlight is watching Bill Nighy.
Rare Exports
A Christmas Tale. This Finnish fantasy, combines horror and comedy and was made in 2010. It is a favourite of our digital marketing whiz Gordon Soutar.
It’s a Wonderful Life.
Selected by our Marketing Director, Mary Kacigeras, ranks one of the all-time great films. Both Time Out and IMdB ranked it as the No1 Christmas movie of all time. So, when a bell rings…you know the rest.
Gavin and Stacey’s Christmas Special
Well, not a movie as such or something that anyone has yet watched. That’s not stopped partner David Gibbs making this selection with no doubt to a nod to the ever-increasing size and importance of the television market.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone who has worked supported with us over the past year and wish you all a wonderful Christmas and Healthy New Year
