Jane Thackstone

Jane has many years’ experience of providing tax advice, tax planning and compliance services to UK individuals and owner managed businesses.

An Associate at Alliotts, Jane manages and mentors a team of tax advisors in our Guildford offices, allocating appropriate assignments to them.

When working with individuals Jane advises on CGT planning and non-residence and non-domicile matters.  As well as advising UK expats on the tax treatment of UK assets, Jane advises on the tax implications and compliance obligations of leaving or returning to the UK. She also assists in the filing of complex tax returns and historic tax return filings.

Jane is specialised in advising on IHT planning, including the set up and use of Trusts.  Jane is authorised to undertake non-contentious probate work.

When advising growing owner managed businesses on taxation matters Jane draws on her expertise in personal tax; an invaluable skill in providing business owners with tax planning solutions that meet both corporate and individual objectives, ensuring that they operate tax efficiently and remain compliant.
