I was privileged to attend the Laura Devine Immigration (LDI) Literary Lounge on 25 April 2024 where people who are passionate about literature are invited to enjoy a unique opportunity to meet well known authors, share their thoughts with fellow bibliophiles and to raise money for charity.
Hosted several times a year by LDI The Literary Lounge invites authors to present and discuss their books, meanwhile raising funds for the author’s named charity. https://www.lauradevine.com/insights/literary-lounge/
Last week the guest was award winning journalist and author Sathnam Sanghera (Marriage Material, The Boy with the Topknot, Stolen History, Empireland and Empireworld and The Times and Sunday Times). https://www.sathnam.com/
Sathnam Sanghera was interviewed about his latest book Empireworld by Helen Carr, an award nominated writer and historian specialising in medieval history and public history.
Guests were warmly welcomed by Laura Devine who introduced her team and Laura Devine Immigration (LDI) an immigration boutique firm with offices in London and New York specialising in UK and US immigration advice, ranked in the top tier for immigration across legal directories. https://www.lauradevine.com/
Looked after by Beth Hadden of LDI I enjoyed sharing Laura’s generous hospitality with book lovers from a wide range professions including novelists, lawyers, accountants, clinical phycologists and mediators.
A fundraising raffle in aid of Rethink Mental Illness https://www.rethink.org/ resulted in several winners of a signed Sathnam Sanghera book, and I was one of the lucky ones. I now have a welcome new addition to my bulging bookcase.
