Working with women in media
The New Year has certainly started well for Alliotts Media team members Lizzie Bennett, Flora Windebank and Sami Shahid, who have been accepted as members of Women in Film and TV (UK), a leading membership organisation for women working in the UK’s creative media sector. The network spans internationally to around 12,000 women over the entire film and television industry.
WFTV(UK) extends beyond an extensive network, the organisation also collaborates with industry bodies on research projects, runs bursary initiatives and lobbies for women’s interests. It also runs a mentorship programme.
Media Accountant Flora Windebank commented:
‘We’re excited at the chance to build relationships and collaborate with like-minded women in the industry, we’re keen to be active and supportive members of WFTV(UK)’
Upcoming events in January that the team will be attending include The Diplomat screening, the UK & Irish Tax Relief seminar, and in person networking for production finance and accounting.
