Trainee Accountant (ACCA)

We are looking for a trainee accountant with an enquiring mind to join our Guildford team to assist on accounting assignments whilst working towards their ACCA qualification.

Main responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of accounts of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in a junior capacity initially, developing into a semi senior and senior role as the candidate progresses through his/her training.
  • Assisting with preparation of VAT returns
  • Assisting with basic tax compliance matters

What we are looking for

  • A degree at 2.2 or above in any discipline
  • AAT level 4 or 2 A levels
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths GCSE grade 6 (B) or above (or equivalent) and English GCSE at grade 4/5 (C) or above (or equivalent)
  • IT skills – competence with MS Office products, and experience of any accounting software package would be an advantage
