Xerocon 2022 – 5 Takeaways

The dust has now settled on XeroCon 2022

Now that the dust has settled on XeroCon 2022 – a quick insight into 5 things I took away from the exhibit (apart from the party, which was typically incredible!)

CitrusHR– This HR system integrates with Xero to help automate payroll journals. What especially caught our eye was its ability to departmentalise the journals, making the larger payrolls easier to push into the accounts and through different codes in Xero. One to watch!

Chaser – This automated credit control add-on (and fully outsourced credit control team) looked great on exhibit. We really enjoyed talking with the team, particularly the “personal touch” it aims to bring to a much more sensitive area of business administration. But with cash flow representing the key issue impacting the SME space, it could be a big help to businesses looking to outsource its credit control.

Made Simplr – We really liked the platform and how it integrates with Xero to help generate meaningful discussions with clients on how to claim and what to claim during the R&D Tax Claim. The final report sent to HMRC is also standardised and as they are part of the advisory committee – in line with the expectations of the R&D teams.

Dext – Whilst already a key part of our “tech stack” in the outsourcing team, we enjoyed talking with the team about developments they plan to bring and how they are pushing their tech, including the “auto segment” feature that enables hundreds of documents to be uploaded in one PDF to be segmented down into individual invoices.

Capitalise – Again already part of our existing tech stack, but the demo on day one pushed home the capabilities of the add-on and how it can continue to generate opportunities and discussions with clients in a proactive rather than reactive way, which is a key element of what underpins our outsourcing teams offering.
