Nigel heads up Alliotts team of tax specialists. His particular area of expertise is trust and estate planning and the administration of those trusts and estates. He works with solicitors and fund managers to ensure that clients’ estates are managed as tax efficiently as possible. Nigel also advises on wealth preservation strategies and Inheritance Tax Planning.
He is also our in house VAT specialist, advising businesses and charities and not for profit organisations on all aspects of VAT. He also advises on the VAT implications relating to complex cross border transactions. He works closely with our personal and corporate tax teams to keep clients up dated on the latest tax legislation.
In his spare time Nigel enjoys visiting art exhibitions and particular admires the works of David Hockney and sculptor Antony Gormley, his ultimate aim is to own an original one day. Indulging his fascination with the past, he regularly visits museums, with the Science Museum being his favourite.
In quieter moments Nigel enjoys exploring the local countryside having spent his childhood on a farm. He prefers walking holidays in the UK to going overseas.
Much of Nigel’s youth was during the 60’s and whilst having a varied taste in music, he still enjoys the music of that era.
A father of two adult daughters, Nigel is often kept busy at weekends.
