As part of London & Partners Finance Technology Entrepreneurs Forum, Alliotts partners Chris Cairns, technology business advisor and David Gibbs, corporate tax specialist, were invited to talk to fintech companies on the key to raising seed finance.

David and Chris spoke at two events, and covered the key areas to consider when raising seed finance including; the importance of company structure and why it is important to get it right from the outset; where to go for seed funding; and the tax reliefs available for investors, companies and the people who own them.

Chris said

‘The UK is appealing to businesses from a tax perspective and London is very attractive to the fintech companies as a major hub for the sector and access to skilled people’

David agreed with Chris’s comments adding

‘After the forum we answered a number of questions, the majority of which are tax related and I am still speaking to a number of businesses who are interested in investing in London and enjoying the obvious perks the city has to offer the fintech tech sector.’

We look forward to continuing to work with London & Partners in 2016 on helping businesses set up in the Capital.
