I’m proud to see British filmmaking so well represented by such a diverse range of subjects and styles at this year’s international film festival in Toronto. I’m looking forward to catching as many as I can when I’m there as head of Alliotts Media Team.
The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) began over 40 years ago and has grown to become the world’s leading film festival which can be openly accessed by the public. This will be my first visit to TIFF, and although I’ve attended the Festival du Film in Cannes on many occasions, I expect this to be a very different, but equally enjoyable experience.
It’s clear from the British representation at the festival that the UK Film Tax Relief is encouraging investment in the sector, from both the UK and overseas film makers by way of co productions. I’m currently advising several production companies on claiming the relief and have successfully claimed on behalf of several already this quarter. I’m also working with funders who are releasing advance finance to production companies who qualify for UK Film Tax Relief.
If you are attending TIFF and would like to meet up to talk about UK Film Tax Relief, please do get in touch.
