On 17th October we had Get Safe Online Day 2016 .  This was followed closely in the UK by Charity Fraud Awareness Week (24th – 28th) which was kick started with the Charity Commission launching their new website to help charities with fraud prevention and detection (Charitiesagainstfraud.org.uk).

This week is International Fraud Awareness Week, an initiative set up by the ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners) with the aim of spreading fraud awareness and anti fraud education.  With their international reach the ACFE are able to develop a global collaboration through their members and the organisations they work for.  They encourage all members who sign up as official supporters of the week to undertake activities to promote Fraud Week and raise awareness in their workplaces and local communities.

Alliotts are proud to be official supporters of International Fraud Week.  This initiative is led myself and Peter Edwards, the Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE’s) in our Fraud and Forensics team we are raising awareness in our offices through daily email tips on fraud prevention for our staff.  We'll be posting useful tips on our twitter feed @TheFraudBusters that can be implemented by anyone to protect themselves against fraud in their everyday lives.  We’ll also be posting links to other useful articles and tips from the wider professional community that can help raise awareness and keep fraudsters at bay!

If you wish to take part and become an official supporter please register on the official webpage http://www.fraudweek.com or tweet your support using the #FraudWeek.
