Congratulations to Rebecca Trudgett, senior audit and accounts manager in our Guildford office who was presented with the hotly contested ‘Best Networker of the Year’ award at last night’s Surrey Chambers of Commerce President’s Awards Dinner.

The award, which was sponsored by Surrey based IT support providers, Projectfive recognised the most active networker in the Chamber and Rebecca was up against some very stiff competition. Rebecca, who  was pleasantly shocked when she received the award in front of over 70 guests, commented afterwards ‘I’m delighted with this award and can’t believe I’ve won it!’

She added' ‘Like most people I was worried about networking, and felt a bit uncomfortable at first, but when I realised that everyone feels the same, it became easier, and before I knew it, I was making friends, and started to look forward to networking.'

Rebecca uses her experience of networking to mentor members of our audit and accounts team in Guildford and encourages them to become involved in networking events. She has set up an incentive scheme to reward those who actively raise their profile and that of Alliotts.

Rebecca has also started two new initiatives this year, The Guildford Business Growth Forum, bringing a range of topics to local owner managers to help them market, run and grow their businesses more effectively, and the themed ’Children of the 80s and 90s’ which is more relaxed networking aimed at rising stars in local firms who grew up in these golden eras.

If you would like to know more about the events that we run please let me know.
